We created a great video showing you some easy tricks to keep you and your kids calm so you can chive on. (whatever that means!)

Today we’re chatting with Amy from Mind Springs Health to show you easy ways to calm a child or yourself!

This helps your child learn how to calm down taking deep breaths.

Younger kids may not understand the why behind it, but this helps them slow their brains down and slows our bodies down.

You do not need real bubbles, but those little bubbles you get at weddings are the perfect size to carry with you anywhere.

Bubble Breaths

Step 1

  • Take a deep breath and blow it through the wand for as long as you can.

Step 2 Repeat!

Obviously if you don't have bubbles at the time you can make a pretend wand with your fingers and pretend you're blowing huge bubbles!

My son loves this activity because he's very tactile and the use of his hands distracts him from whatever drama he's in the middle of and helps him build coping skills!
