With parents going back to school & looking for work, this week we're chatting with the Mesa County Department of Human Services about their Childcare Assistance Program! Find out how to get help paying for your childcare expenses.

Today we’re chatting with Melissa from the MCDHS about how to secure child care assistance for income qualifying parents that are:

  • working parents
  • teen parents
  • job seeking parents
  • parents in training programs

Just apply for the Child Care Assistance Program at the Mesa County Workforce Center.

  • Walk-in Monday-Friday 8-4 except Wednesdays which are from 8 to Noon

An interview is required as well as some paperwork:

  • state issued birth certificates for your kids
  • proof of work/or training activity

Don't forget if your child attends one of the after school programs with the school district they can provide assistance for it as well!
