Today Amy from Mind Springs Health is showing me how to use the "Calming C" technique to calm me and my son!

One of the easiest things I learned from Amy that I was able to use immediate was the "Calming C".

How to Use the Calming C

  1. Cup your hand to form a C
  2. Then trace it
  3. Begin loudly then softly saying calm down repeatedly

This is great for my son because he is very tactile and it distracts him from whatever the drama is and refocuses his attention.
