Eleven Construction Projects Around Grand Junction that Could Affect Traffic
Not exactly a shock to anyone living in Grand Junction or on the Western Slope that it is always construction season in Colorado. It seems like no matter what time of year it is, there is always a project that is being worked on. It's never the project that we want to be worked on because normally it is slowing us down but you can always find a project being worked on. It was the city of Grand Junction that released information on eleven different projects being worked on currently, and these could affect your time in traffic.
Riverfront at Dos Rios Phase 2 Project - Access to the bike park should reopen this week from Riverside Parkway. River Front Trail will remain closed through early April, detour around construction activities.
Ridges Irrigation Replacement Project - Pipeline construction is completed, asphalt patching and concrete replacement will be done by mid-April
Lorey Drive Improvement Project - Lorey Drive closed to traffic west of 1st Street, business and residential access remain open. The project should be done by mid-April
G Road Irrigation Project - Road will be closed on and off between 24 Road and 24 1/2 Road, resident access permitted, alternate route advised, the project should be completed in mid-April.

F Road Between 34 and 35 Road, Culvert Replacement Project - F Road closed to through traffic, detour in place, expected completion is Friday, March 26th.
1st street Between North Avenue and Grand Avenue, Gas Line Replacement Project - Asphalt and cleanup should be completed this week.
E Road Reconstruction Between 31 Road and 32 Road - Expect full closure with detour route, residential access remains open, the anticipated completion date of September of 2021. Crews will work on this project between 7 am and 7 pm.
HWY 340 (Broadway) Culver Improvements - CDOT - Construction between Canary Lane and Dressell Drive, single-lane closures. Crews will work on this project between 7 am and 7 pm.
G Road Power Pole Renovation Project Between 26 1/2 Road and 27 Road - Grand Valley Power Project - Possible alternating one-lane traffic, expect delays Monday through Friday 8am to 5 pm. Project expected to be completed in late April 2021.
31 Road, CLOSED Between F Road and F 1/4 Road - Mesa County - Closed through March 28, 2021, detours in place, replacing a culvert on Price Ditch crossing.
12 Road North of HWY 6 & 50 and O Road Between 12 Road and 13 Road - Ute Water Conservancy District - Rolling road closure, detours in place, open evening and weekends. This project is expected to be completed on July 1, 2021.
