Since there are always new additions coming into the valley, here are a few things to remember about visiting trails, parks, and patios with your dog in Grand Junction. Many of these four-legged guidelines apply to public spaces across Mesa County.

Dogs must be on a leash no longer than 10 feet unless you are in a designated off-leash space. If you see people abusing this hometown rule, call animal control or the non-emergency number for Grand Junction PD (dial 311). Pet owners are required to carry waste bags and clean up after their pet. Grand Junction city parks mandate leashing and waste pickup at all times. Note that many Grand Junction Parks close at 8 PM during the winter months.
