Grand Junction’s Stuff the Bus Donations Hit a New High
Grand Junction, we can't thank you enough. The summer of 2026 was an outstanding season for Stuff the Bus for the Mesa County Valley School District 51.
Each year, we head to the mall to un-stuff the bus, and we are overwhelmed by the donations. Each year, the students and teachers need more, and each year this community finds a way to give more.

How Stuff the Bus Helps District 51 Elementary and Middle Schools

Each year, District 51, the District 51 Foundation, Mesa Mall, Townsquare Media, and additional sponsors partner to put on Stuff the Bus. This year’s Stuff the Bus school supply drive brought in more physical school supplies from the community than we've ever had. Supplies have been sent directly to our District 51 elementary and middle schools and are available to students in need while supplies last.
Helping District 51 High Schools
In addition to collecting school supplies, the annual Stuff the Bus campaign also raises monetary donations to support D51 high schools. These funds allow each school to purchase supplies tailored to the unique needs of high school students and the wide variety of courses and programs they take.
Building a Stronger Grand Junction Together

This year, generous support from Community Hospital’s Grand Valley Pediatrics, the D51 Foundation, Credit Union of Colorado, and other community donors helped raise a total of $4,225. Each of D51’s five high schools will receive $845 to purchase supplies specifically for their students.
