Well, this is something you don't see every day. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen an SUV (or any kind of vehicle) get tangled up in power lines like this. I've seen crashes into power poles where lines have come down, but I've never actually seen a vehicle tangled up in the actual power lines. And the lines didn't even get disconnected.

Our friends at CBS Denver say that an SUV veered off of HWY 115 in Colorado Springs and crashed when a driver, who authorities believe had a medical issue, was driving northbound. The driver crossed the southbound lanes and hit guy wires connected to some power lines and poles, and this was the result.

Miraculously, there were no injuries. In fact, the driver got out of the car, which is something you should never do if you're around some downed powerlines, and was taken to the hospital for minor injuries and further observation.

It took emergency responders about 45 minutes to safely free the driver, through the driver’s door, from the dangling vehicle.

I think the miraculous thing about this crash, other than nobody was injured, is the fact that no power lines came loose or disconnected in the incident. A full investigation into the cause of the crash is still going on but wow, what a crazy day down in the Springs.

White Knuckle Your Way Down Colorado's Most Dangerous Roads

Slivers of asphalt cling to mountainsides with barely enough room for a subcompact car, let alone the monster RVs peppering the roadways. Blind corners leave even the most experienced drivers wondering what awaits around the bend. Let's not forget the thousand-foot drops with nothing between safety and impending doom but a thin slice of gravel -- talk about white knuckles.

If you're brave enough to "risk your life" for beautiful views, you won't be disappointed.

How many of these dangerous roads have you traveled in Colorado?

The Story of America's Longest Street Stretching Through Colorado

They just don't make streets anymore like Colfax Avenue in Denver.

Not only is Colfax Avenue one of the oldest streets in Colorado, but it is also one of the longest in the nation. It's been called the "longest street in America, but it's actually the longest commercial street in the United States, running more than 26 miles through Aurora, Denver, Lakewood, and Golden.

However, in reality, Colfax extends beyond the boundaries of metro Denver. As you get beyond Aurora it follows I-70 and then US-36 picks up the Colfax name in the towns of Watkins, Bennett, and Strasburg. Some folks in Byes still use East Colfax in their address. If you were to measure Colfax from Strasburg to Golden you would find Colfax is actually more than 53 miles long.

So here is a look at some interesting facts about Denver's Colfax Avenue, the longest commercial street in America.
