Social Security Scam Don’t Fall For It

I was minding my own business when I get a call on my phone from an 800 number. I decide to answer it and low and behold they said they were from the Social Security administration and my social security number was going to be suspended.

Luckily for me, I knew this was going around and had read about it. I did not, however, think it would happen to me. The recording gave me some prompts and I decided to see what would happen and someone came on the line to tell me about my Social Security account being suspended. They told me I could no longer use my social security number.

If you get a call like this, do not press 1, just hang up the phone. Your Social Security number is not about to be suspended. If you feel like you have been violated report it to the FTC. The Federal Trade Commission will help you.
