Credit Card Skimmer Discovered Be Vigilant

Thieves use credit card skimmers to steal your data, credit card skimming is where a thief uses a small device to steal credit card information at legitimate credit or debit card portals. Apparently, someone had installed a credit card skimmer at a business in Fraser Park, but because no nothing was stolen they are not naming the business.

When a credit or debit card is swiped through a skimmer, the device captures  all the details stored in the card's magnetic stripe. The stripe contains the credit card number and expiration date and the credit card holder's full name.

Thieves can then use that information to steal your money .

According to authorities one way to avoid becoming a victim never use your PIN when using your debit card,  and run everything as credit and check your bank or credit card statements regularly. Thieves are always looking for ways to scam and steal I once had someone try to charge a car motor on my credit card, luckily for me my credit card company called to alert me.
