One Person Injured In Shooting In Montrose

Montrose Police are looking into a shooting this morning that injured one person.

The incident occurred in the 1000 block of East Main Street when an as yet unidentified male walked up to a car where the victim was sitting and an argument ensued. During the argument the assailant pulled a gun and shot into the door of the Jetta he was sitting in, wounding the passenger.

Police arrived on the scene just before 1 A.M. but the suspect had fled the scene. The victim, now out of the vehicle, was still there but the vehicle he was in, a silver Volkswagon Jetta, is being sought by authorities.
