I was scanning Facebook this morning when I ran across this great post by Michael Green explaining why were seeing the most blessed rain the Western Slope has had in a long time!

If you all are wondering why we are getting so much water here I will tell you: A man name Chris pasted away it took him just a few short years to grab the attention of the Lord. They got to sit down for a bit. Ol' Chris told God, "You know what the people really need? Is a good year of camping, they been good lord for like 3 years." This concerned God because of forest fires. So Chris told the Lord well if no Fires then can you at least fill the lake back to the beaches so they have that to do. The Lord just couldn't say no to a guy who cares about what we do on earth so he agreed. As the two parted god simply spoke," My friend you know who I am, but I apologies what is yours?" The gentelman just turns around and says," Chris, Chris LeDoux, its a pleasure to meet you sir." And the two parted. I think the lord took good ol' Chris advice.
I think it's as good a theory as any and I'll take as much of this rain as we need to get out of drought conditions, so I don't have to breath an excessive amount of dust at Country Jam!
According to the KKCO website Garfield County has already implemented a Fireworks Ban for the rest of the year! That includes using or selling fireworks in unincorporated parts of the county this year. They may however relax the rule in the weeks leading up to the 4th of July.
Well keep you up to date on local bans as we receive them!
