Man Beats Friend to Death for Poking Girlfriend on Facebook

Poking somebody on Facebook is a silly option, it's supposed to be fun and maybe a little flirty, but one man took it too far.

Humphrey was drunk, upset that his Rovetto poked his girlfriend on Facebook, and proceeded beat his friend to death in the back of the cab.

Humphrey was sentenced to four years in Jail, the judge told him during the sentence:

"When you and him went out that evening, violence and death were the furthest things from your mind, you didn’t intend to kill him.”

Most of us know that a "poke" on Facebook is simply meant to be fun and a way to get somebody's attention. But it can be mistaken for harassment and cyber stalking.

In this case, it resulted in jealousy and it left one man dead and one man in jail.

Be careful who you poke.
