Right now we are surrounded by worried and uncertianty but even in these troubling times, you find lots of people wanting to step up and help others here in our community. Over this past weekend, I saw multiple people posting about this "Grand Junction Mutual Aid" Facebook Group that was set up. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect but the generousity of our community is on full display.

The group was set up to help those in need and come together as a community in this tough time. It's all about helping out to get through this stressful time together. The group was set up for those who are in need to not feel bad about asking for help. As you've seen on so many websites people are hoarding supplies and if you're out of something or if your family is needing something specific this is the perfect opportunity to ask for some help in finding those items.

There are some rules that you must follow or you will be removed from the group such as no bashing others. It takes a lot for people to ask for help, so don't hurt someone's feelings because they need something. Also the typical no talk about politics, and no asking for money. They don't want this local group invaded by bots and scam ads.

Lastly, just be kind to others in the group, show some compassion and respect as we are all trying to get through this difficult time together.
