I''m sure there are a ton of great dentists in Grand Junction. I am lucky to have found the perfect one for me. Hopefully, you can find the perfect one for you. Just don't let fear ruin your smile.

The DENTIST. Even the word causes chills up and down peoples' spines. Especially mine. Add to that, I haven't been to a dentist in a LONG time. So, I wasn't expecting really great news. I brush and floss and use mouthwash, but that isn't always enough. My addiction to chocolate does not help either.

So, with all my fears and trepidations (and maybe a swear word or two) I had to man up and face up to my fears. I had been experiencing extreme sensitivity to cold liquids in a couple of spots and knew that they were cavities. Great. Then I met Dr. Kira. She is my hero. She loves what she does and it shows.

Then it was time for the filling. Dr. Kira put me at ease. No judgment, no blaming, she was actually funny. Who ever heard of a funny dentist? With her amazing assistant, Natalie they talked me through everything and constantly made sure I was doing alright.

The coolest thing, along with a little bit of nitrous, is they let you listen to your own music. To me, that made a world of difference. So bring your tunes, your headphones and just relax. Before I really knew it, the procedure was over. Honestly, did not feel a thing.

I have been back to Western Slope Dental for a couple of more procedures. To say I feel at home there, may be a stretch, BUT, I no longer have the panic attacks I did before simply thinking about my appointment. They are a great bunch.

From the first person I encountered, Stacie (who runs the ship) at Western Slope Dental they all began to put me at ease.

I am sure that there are other awesome dentists in Grand Junction. My point is that there is no reason to be fearful. So, pick a dentist, make an appointment and get things cleaned or fixed and you will feel better.
