A handful of Grand Junction businesses will be closed on either Sunday (Feb 7) or the following Monday on account of the Super Bowl. Fortunately, it's a short list. Before you run out into the streets to celebrate Colorado's triumph (we hope), please keep in mind these area businesses won't be open.

One could argue businesses might want to close on Sunday and/or Monday in order to celebrate. Another school of thought might be they had to close for the day on account their employees are too hungover to make it to work.

Here's a brief look at a few area businesses which will remain closed on either Sunday or Monday:

    Palisade Livery Saloon

    Closed: Monday

The Palisade Livery Saloon will be closed on Monday following the Super Bowl. This really doesn't have anything to do with the game. Closing on Mondays in simply a part of their new winter hours.
