Grand Junction singer/songwriter Larry Cappetto will debut new material this weekend at a concert honoring veterans and first responders. This performance is part of a benefit show, hosted by Country star Lee Greenwood, raising funds for Western Colorado kids.

Cappetto, a Grand Junction musician and documentary film maker, will perform three tunes this Saturday night at the Avalon Theatre in Grand Junction. One of the tunes performed will be a world premiere.

This concert, featuring Lee Greenwood and J.P. Lane, is a patriotic tribute to our vets and emergency service personnel. Proceeds from the event go towards G.A.N.G., a Western Colorado organization serving underprivileged kids.

In addition to songwriting and performing, Cappetto also produces documentary films honoring veterans. You've probably seen his videos on public television. Capetto's DVD's are available for purchase at his website, www.veteranshistory.org.

Tickets for the Lee Greenwood concert benefiting G.A.N.G. are available at:

  • Starvin Arvin's in Delta
  • The Veterans Art Center
  • Fruita Wood and BBQ Supply
  • Townsquaremedia Studios

Check out the video above, and hear the story of how Larry Cappetto's songs and documentaries came to be. Be sure to catch him live this Saturday, May 14, at the Avalon Theatre.
