We are one of the healthiest states, but we should probably cut ourselves off earlier. Results say Colorado residents are the least obese, but we drink a lot.

From an article in the Denver Post, the people in the know have given some good news and some not so good news.

The Centennial state ranks as the number one least obese state. Yippie for us, right? Only one in five adults in Colorado is obese. That ranks number one overall.

However, on the flip side of that, it turns out we are 36th in the excessive drinking category. Overall, Colorado slipped down two spots from number eight to 10 in overall ranking in the United Health Foundation's survey.

There were other factors that enabled us to slip down the scale. Diabetes, smoking, drug-related illnesses and cancer rates.

I'm sure we could (and probably should) all exercise more and cut down on our cups.
