Just another reason why it's awesome to live in Colorado.

For more than a decade the Centennial State has dominated this particular study.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently released their 2015 findings on a study of healthy states. Colorado again claimed the title of 'Leanest State of the Year.'

According to the study, Colorado has the lowest rates of adult diabetes. We also top the list for the highest amount of physical activity. To round it out, Colo. finished second on the list with the lowest rate of hypertension. But, it's not all sunshine and peaches.

Health officials say that there is room, in some areas, for improvement. Even though we are quite active, an astonishing 20 percent of Colorado residents are still considered obese. One belief is that many families don't have access to more nutritional food.

What can we do to help? Shouldn't everyone have the same access to healthier choices? Is the system's fault or the fault of those individual people and their choices?
