Civil War Memorabilia Exhibit Marches into Grand Junction
If you are one of the many people that are interested in the American Civil War, then you don't want to miss this Civil War Maps and Memorabilia exhibit at the Help Heal Veterans center.
This exhibit is located at 1670 North Avenue in Grand Junction in the Help Hospital Veterans Arts and Craft Center. Located just across the street from the Lincoln Park golf course, the display is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. starting January 17 and will be there until March 31, 2017. This exhibit is free to attend.
Help Hospitalized Veterans is a part of the national non-profit Help Heal Veterans based out of Winchester, California. HHV provides free craft kits to veterans that including leather, wood, paint by numbers, bead kits, sewing kits, sun-catchers, latch hook, and more.
In addition, their Community Based Arts and Crafts Centers, they offer workshops for veterans and their guests to gather to work on their projects or participate in one of the many craft clinics offered.
