The article I read talk about how "due a shift in the zeitgeist", (which is defined as the spirit of the age or the spirit of the time-meaning the dominant school of thought that influences the culture of that time period -I had to look it up), businesses are starting to focus more on manufacturing here in the U.S. again.

CNBC reports,

the Great Recession and slow economic recovery have helped many Americans realize that the trade-off for cheap goods made overseas. . .is the loss of manufacturing jobs here at home.
