Here's some tips from Repairclinic.com that you can follow to save some dough this year!

1. Add a few degrees to your home’s temperature. If it's too HOT in your home, wear summer clothes designed for warmer temperatures.
2. When temperatures drop in the evening, consider using only a ceiling fan.
3. Inspect and repair caulking and/or weatherstripping around windows.
4. If you have a window-mounted air conditioner’s clean the air filter.
5. Close your drapes and shades, buying room darkening shades will help keep the heat out as well!
6. If you have central air conditioning, the condenser should be cleaned annually to keep them operating properly.
