A gas station attendant was robbed at gunpoint in Grand Junction on Thursday night. Two juveniles that were involved in the robbery have been arrested.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, at about 11:15 p.m. on Thursday night, October 13, deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery. A gas station attendant working at a Clifton gas station, at 3218 F Road, was robbed at gunpoint.

The victim told authorities that two people came into the gas station on Thursday night, one wearing a black sweatshirt and black pants and the other was wearing a red sweatshirt and a red bandana over their face.

The gas station attendant said that one of the suspects pointed a gun at them, they took the cash register and then ran away on foot.

One of the suspects was quickly identified, according to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office. Authorities surrounded the suspect's house who they identified and placed the surrounding area in shelter in place.

Once all occupants came out of the residence, they arrested the two suspects, who are juveniles. Authorities got a search warrant and found a replica weapon and other evidence related to the robbery, according to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office.

The two juveniles are currently at the Department of Youth Services. Charges are pending as the case is still under investigation according to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office.
