Tuesday is election day in Mesa County and across the nation. Here is information you may need to get your ballot in on time via mail, by dropping it off, or if you need a new one.

Saturday is the last day you have to get your ballot in the mail in the Grand Valley. It must be received at the Mesa County Elections office before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3rd. If you are going to mail your ballot in, make sure it has correct postage also. It will probably need two stamps.

If you would rather save the stamps, there are many 24 hour ballot drop-off locations in Mesa County. After today, Mesa County Election Office and the state of Colorado are recommending that voters return their ballots at the following drop-off locations.

  • Mesa County Central Services, 200 S. Spruce St. (West Entrance), Grand Junction, CO 81501
  • Clifton Motor Vehicle, 3225 I-70 Business Loop, Clifton, CO 81520
  • Mesa County Fairgrounds, 2785 US-50, Grand Junction, CO 81503
  • Goodwill (Inside), 630 24 1/2 Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81505
  • Mesa County Department of Human Services, 510 29 1/2 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81504
  • Fruita Civic Center, 325 E. Aspen Ave, Fruita, CO 81521

Due to the amount of time it may take to mail ballots back to the Elections office, voters who have not yet returned their ballots are encouraged to turn them in to any of the drop box locations through 7 p.m. on Nov. 3.

There will be three service centers available to voters for this Election that are open Saturday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are:

  • Mesa County Central Services, 200 S. Spruce St. (West Entrance), Grand Junction, CO 81501
  • Clifton Motor Vehicle, 3225 I-70 Business Loop, Clifton, CO 81520
  • Goodwill (Inside), 630 24 1/2 Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81505

Anyone still needing to receive or return a ballot that may have a hard time stopping by during our weekday hours is encouraged to stop by.

The voter service and polling centers will be closed on Sunday but will reopen with the usual 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours on Monday. Voters have until 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3, to drop off their mail-in ballots or cast their votes in person.

To verify that a ballot has been received by the Elections Office, voters may call (970) 244-1662 or visit www.GoVoteColorado.com. Replacement ballots may be requested by calling (970) 244-1662 during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or visit the three service centers open this Saturday.

Each of the service centers will have ADA-approved voting equipment available for disabled or impaired voters to cast their votes independently.

For further information or if you have any questions, email voter.info@mesacounty.us or call (970) 244-1662.
