Colorado may be a landlocked state, but that doesn't stop us from taking full advantage of the rivers, reservoirs and lakes that we do have. And at Grand Lake, you can experience total island vibes by renting a motorized tiki bar to take out on the water.

Complete with a parrot, palm tree, lawn chairs and grass skirt, the tiki bar pontoon boat transports riders to the Hawaiian islands, without ever having to leave Colorado. Up to 10 people at a time can rent the travelling tiki bar to cruise around the lake. Whether the ride is spent fishing, wildlife watching, partying or just relaxing, it's bound to be a great day on the water.

The tiki pontoon rental is available at Trail Ridge Marina and starts at $450 for 4 hours. Lifejackets and fuel are included. There's usually a waiting list, so the marina recommends booking early and in advance.

Currently, the marina also offers kayak rentals, as well as regular pontoon boats, paddle boards and fishing boats.

According to 9News, Trail Ridge Marina also has plans to create a pirate ship pontoon and a golf-themed boat next summer.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
