On Monday's 99-9 KEKB Morning show, Keyes & Riley stumbled upon what is to become the next worldwide sensation in social media.

May we introduce the T-Rex Selfie! Watch the video as Keyes & Riley show you exactly how to do this.

This new trend, with your help, will slowly but surely begin to dominate the world of social media, was inspired by an actual creature that dominated its own world.

The T-Rex, short for Tyrannosaurus Rex, was one of the largest and fiercest creatures to ever roam the land. Predominately living in the western part of North American and yes, probably right here in Grand Junction. But sadly, he was unable to take a decent selfie!

We have all seen pictures and fossils of these amazing creatures, but what is the one thing that doesn't quite look right with the legendary T. Rex? Not that I would want to shame or embarrass him, but you have to admit that those two teeny arm-type appendages just do not match up.

'Relative to its large and powerful hind limbs, Tyrannosaurus fore limbs were short but unusually powerful for their size and had two clawed digits.'

Hence the invention of the T-Rex selfie. Maybe that's why they were so mean. They couldn't take a decent selfie!

So, as you can see, they may not be the most flattering pics, but remember why we are doing this. To honor and support an animal who could NOT take a good selfie, no matter what. The T-Rex. The Tyrant King.
