UPDATE: Jody Haskins Now Suspect in Abduction of Grand Junction Girl
UPDATE 4.26.18 @ 4:20 p.m.] The Grand Junction Police Department made the announcement during a press conference that 47-year-old Jody Haskins is now a suspect in the abduction of 12-year-old Raeanna Rosencrans.
Authorities believe Haskins may be headed to North Dakota.
[ORIGINAL STORY] The Grand Junction Police Department has identified a person of "strong interest" in the abduction of 12-year-old Raeanna Rosencrans of Grand Junction.
The Grand Junction Police Department with the help of other law enforcement agencies spent the night working on follow-up tips and interviews to identify the individual who may be responsible for the disappearance of Raeanna.
Authorities are currently trying to locate and contact 47-year-old Jody Haskins of Grand Junction. Haskin is a white male, approximately 6′, 215 lbs, balding, with brown eyes and glasses. He is also the victim's stepfather, but has no parental rights.
Haskin is a registered sex offender who has an active warrant for sex assault on a child from the Grand Junction Police Department.
The vehicle that was first associated with the incident has been recovered in Rifle.
Authorities are continuing in the investigating, and urge the community to keep sharing all the information they come across to return Raeanna home safely.
