A helicopter transported an injured hiker from Arthur's Rock on Wednesday afternoon.

Poudre Fire Authority said the hiker had suffered a leg injury near the top of the Arthur's Rock Trail in Lory State Park in Bellvue, just west of Fort Collins. PFA sent personnel up the 1.7-mile trail that summits about 7,000 feet elevation.

PFA said the hiker was stabilized and carried to the helicopter landing spot about 200 yards up the trail.

Larimer County and Colorado Parks & Wildlife assisted with the rescue.
