A Fender Stratocaster guitar with the serial number 0100 is going up for sale, and it could be all yours.

The guitar in question was produced in 1954, and is believed to be the first Strat shipped for retail sale. The guitar is the property of Fender historian Richard Smith, who penned "Fender: The Sound Heard 'Round the World."

For the record, this Stratocaster is not necessarity "The One," the first Stratocaster ever made. More accurately, this is the first Strat ever shipped for retail sale.

As of this time, the asking price is $250,000.00. Last year, Bob Dylan's Strat sold for $1 million at auction. While the Strat currently for auction with the serial number 0100 was never owned by a celebrity of Dylan's stature, some collectors consider it to be even more collectible.
