As the weather gets colder in fall, you can still get the family together on Thursday night and head to the Neighbors Read program at the Mesa County Central Library

Every Thursday night starting at 6:30, the Central Library at the corner of 5th and Grand Avenue in Grand Junction host fun activities for the entire family. The month of October is no different as they are getting ready for the Grand Junction Comic Con with drawing, fun yoga for kids and families, creative Lego builds and of course, getting ready for Halloween.

Each Thursday has the following going on:

6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6 - Get ready for Mesa County Libraries Comic Con by learning to draw sci-fi characters with local artist Aaron Herrera. Aaron also will be giving a drawing lesson at Comic Con on Saturday, Oct. 8.

 

6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 - Get healthy with fun kids' yoga led by Nicole Fitzgerald.

 

6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 - Get technical with the Bookcliff Middle School First Lego League Teams, who will present a solution to a real-world problem in conjunction with the 2016 Animal Allies theme. They also will present their first Lego Mindstorms EV3 robot they designed to solve challenging Lego missions in the Animal Allies field kid.

 

6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 - Get ready for Halloween with the puppet show, "Barney's Halloween."
