Happy 83rd birthday to the woman whose contributions to society, television, movies, and music, have earned worldwide attention and respect, Miss Nichelle Nichols.

Long before Ms. Nichols became a fixture on our television sets and movie screens, she was working hard in the musical arena, singing for artists such as Duke Ellington and Lionel Hampton.

Since then, she has caught the attention of Dr. Martin Luther King, NASA, and every male in the world possessing so much as a drop of testosterone.
