A Grand Junction man just celebrated his 90th birthday by skydiving. Jim Nelson crossed something off his bucket list and celebrated his birthday all at once.

There are lots of ways to celebrate turning 90, such as going out to eat with your family or napping, but that's not how Jim from Grand Junction wanted to celebrate.

Jim Nelson just turned 90 years old and celebrated his birthday in the coolest and craziest way possibly -- by skydiving. Jim said he wanted to do something adventurous, and I'd say skydiving is about as adventurous and daring as it gets.

Jim was able to celebrate his 90th birthday in a big way, all thanks to the Vibrant Living Program at Solstice Senior Living in Grand Junction. This program aims to keep seniors active in the community, according to KJCT.

Skydiving was on Jim Nelson's bucket list, and I can't think of a better time to cross something off your bucket list thank during your 90th birthday.

Jim has more adventures in mind other than skydiving. The next adventure he wants to embark on is hiking the Crag Crest trail on the Grand Mesa.
