This Grand Junction kid said no to birthday presents this year. She doesn't want anything for herself, she just wants something for the animals of Roice-Hurst Humane Society.

Lilah Rose, who Roice-Hurst says is one of their youngest benefactors, has opted out of birthday presents this year. This girl wants donations for Roice-Hurst Humane Society instead.

This is adorable and so selfless. This little girl is not thinking of herself, even on her birthday. She only wants the best for the furbabies at Roice-Hurst.

I can tell that Lilah is an animal lover and it makes me happy to see this at such a young age. Who knows what her future holds? Perhaps Lilah's love for animals will mean a career as a biologist or maybe a veterinarian.

Roice-Hurst Humane Society says they're honored by Lilah's support and also -- happy birthday!

Animals give us something that money can never buy. I adopted my cat from Roice-Hurst Society and there's no way I could put a price on that love and connection we have.
