All Terrain Motorsports is hosting a free avalanche safety training class for everyone who intends to play in the Colorado backcountry this winter. This class is open to all snowmobilers, cross-country skiers and snowboarders. This training could be the differents between life or death.

It is fun in the winter to get out in the clean, untouched snow and play. It is not fun if you trigger an avalanche. Your chances of surviving an avalanche depend on you and your companions knowing what do to if you are caught in an avalanche miles from help.

For the 3rd year, All Terrain Motorsports is offering this free class given by Mike Duffy, a Back Country and Avalanche SAFTEY and Training Specialist. This class is being held at All-Terrain Motorsports at 3080 I-70 B in Grand Junction on Monday, November 7th at 6:00 p.m.

Even if you have attended an Avalanche class before, this class is new and will show you how to best use your safety equipment. If you have an AVI pack, location transceiver, shovel or snow probes, please bring them with you to class.

There will be food and drink at All Terrain Motorsports, plus your chance to win door prizes just for attending. Get all of your riding, ski or snowboarding buddies together and plan on finding out how to save a life in the event of an avalanche.
