School Bus Safety Rules In Grand Junction

The school will be starting soon in Grand Junction and the surrounding area. and you want to be aware of the kids as they will be everywhere. They will be crossing the street and catching their local school bus. Some things you will want to be aware of as school starts are safety. When a school bus is stopped and they have their stop sign out in both directions you have to stop. Don't make the mistake of not stopping, as this could result in serious injury to a child. Try to always be aware and vigilant.

Colorado Officials  according to their website say you  must stop your vehicle at least 20 feet before reaching a school bus that is stopped with its red lights flashing whether it is on your side of the road, the opposite side of the road, or at an intersection you are approaching.

 You must remain stopped until the flashing red lights are no longer flashing .

Always look and watch for children playing on the side of the road and obey the speed limit.
