Did you know that if you own a home in the Upper Grand Valley Pest Control District you are REQUIRED by LAW to control pests on them?! If this applies to you, they might even pay you to REMOVE them!

I was just informed by Mesa County that backyard fruit trees, like the Choke Cherry Trees I have on my property, are often the source of insect and disease pests and that as the homeowner I am REQUIRED to ensure that I control them so that a hot spot does not breakout.

Hotspots are areas where pest populations build up and then spread to damage nearby fruit trees, which could be devastating here in the Grand Valley where many of our friends and neighbors depend on their fruit harvest for their livelihood!

If you live in the UGVPCD, which is roughly from Clifton east to Palisade and parts of Orchard Mesa, you are REQUIRED by State Law to control pests on YOUR fruit trees!

The awesome thing is, if you live within the boundaries and don't want those fruit trees, there is a program being offered that will remove your old, diseased, or un-managed fruit trees and even pay you $15 to $50 per tree, for up to a maximum of $250, to remove them!

However, the program is ONLY available from October to December, on a first come first serve basis, so if you're interested you'd better call Melissa for details at (970) 255-7121 TODAY!
