Brad Paisley came right and said what many of us were already thinking. According to Paisley, in a recent interview with People magazine, "I'm just saying that we as writers can do better." Do you agree?

Paisley's primary complaint seems to revolve around the constant use of Country cliche's such as "tailgates", "tan legs", "trucks", and such. Right away, many people might argue that concepts such as one's wife leaving them, stealing their truck, and taking their dog, are all at the very core of Country music.

As a matter of fact, the current #1 song on the Media Base Country Charts, "Girl In A Country Song," is a recording for which the subject matters concerns itself directly with Country music cliche's.

To be perfectly blunt, the number one complaint I receive via the KEKB phone lines involves what many regard as "Hip-Hop Country." Songs by artists such as Sam Hunt and Florida Georgia line, along with a handful of tunes by artists such as Jason Aldean, lead the pack for calls to the studio to complain.
