District 51 School Choices

There seems to be a move away from the traditional school as we know it in Mesa County.

Charter schools are steadily increasing their attendance in District 51.

Juniper Ridge and Independence Academy are the two charter schools in this area. They offer a different approach to learning than your standard school. And quite a few parents and their children approve. Both schools have seen an increase of about 20 percent in enrollment for this current year.

Juniper Ridge offers a holistic approach to teaching and learning, while Independence relies on more of a hands-on curriculum.
