District 51 Foundation is Getting Iced This Weekend
The District 51 Foundation is holding the 5th Annual White Iced Celebration in the CMU Meyer Ballroom this Saturday night (February 4) to help benefit our locals schools. The mission of the D51 Foundation is to raise funds for academic growth and achievement and promote outreach to benefit the students of our community.
This White Iced affair is being held from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017. The Meyer Ballroom is located in the University Center on 12th Street. This is a white-attired event, meaning you are encouraged to dress up in your favorite white, cream, silver or gold sparkly best.
They will have appetizers and desserts for snacking, and a silent auction to raise money while acknowledging our the outstanding educators in our schools. All proceeds from this event will go towards the purchase of 21st-century classroom technology and professional development for district 51 staff.
Tickets are available online or at the door. The cost is $60 for the general public and just $45 for D51 Employees. The cost of tickets will be $70 at the door. If you cannot attend this Saturday, you can still help with the D51 Foundations goals by making a donation online.
