It's at $8.31 an hour right now. That's the minimum hourly wage for the state of Colorado in 2016.

New York and California are installing a plan to raise their minimum hourly wage to nearly $15.00. What should Colorado do?

From this article, on the website usnews.com, both the Golden State and The Big Apple are implementing plans to gradually raise their states' wages by almost seven dollars an hour. This is not an overnight increase. In fact, it won't be until 2022 that the wage actually reaches the $15 mark, but at least there is a steady increase in resident's paychecks.

Some say that this is great move on behalf of the legislature, while others claim it will actually increase the number of jobs lost because business owners will not be able to afford to hire anyone at those wages.
