
Breaking: Greeley Police Officer Shot Overnight
A Greeley Police Officer is lucky to be alive after an officer-involved shooting overnight.
Overnight, the Greeley Police Department received a call for shots fired at 13th and 26th Ave in the city. Dispatch advised officers that the shots came from a white Chevy or GMC dually pickup.
Officers spotted the vehicle in Eaton on HWY 85. Greeley Police and the Weld Country Sheriff chased the suspect until he entered the City of Greeley. A short while later, the vehicle was seen near the intersection of 37th St and 47th Ave.
Officers perused the vehicle until the two suspects jumped out, firing at the police. One of the officers and one of the suspects were shot in the altercation. Both are in stable condition.
One of the suspects ran into a residence and the Greeley SWAT team surrounded the home. While trying to make contact with the suspect, a shot was fired inside the residence. After a search, the suspect was located and found deceased.
