For some time now, music lovers in Western Colorado have been urging Classical guitarist Javier De Los Santos to get off his butt and put together a concert featuring violinist Alisha Bean. Well, you yelled, and Javier listened.

Seriously, audiences in Western Colorado have urged Javier to put together a performance with violinist Alisha Bean for years. That urge will soon be a reality.

Javier and Alisha will join forces this Friday, may 10th, to present "Symphonie Espagnole" by French composer Edouard Lalo. They will also present "Grand Duo Concertant" by French virtuoso guitarist and composer Antoine de Lhoyer, and "Sonatine in D Minor" by Austrian composer Otto Siegl, and "History Of The Tango" by Astor Piazzola.

Downbeat is at 7:30 p.m. this Friday night at United Methodist Church in Grand Junction. Tickets are available at the door for $15 adults and $10 students.
