Do you think you have the best ribs in the Grand Valley? Here's your chance to prove it at the 2013 Colorado Pork & Hops Challenge Amateur BBQ Rib Competition. Our mouths are watering just thinking of trying all those delicious ribs, you'll share with us won't you?

Clean up your grill, prep your special sauces and rubs, and get ready to fight for the best ribs in Grand Junction.

The amateur BBQ rib competition is open to anyone who thinks their ribs will impress the judges. On Saturday Sept. 14, participants will spark up their grills, and vie for the title Amateur BBQ Rib King!

If you choose to compete, you'll need to supply your own grill (gas or charcoal,) spices and rubs, sauces, ice chest and small work table plus your own meat for the competition.

Your ribs can be spare ribs, St. Louis style cut or baby back ribs and must have the bone in. Sorry country-style ribs are prohibited.

Think you have what it takes? Download your entry form from the Colorado Pork & Hops Challenge website and submit to the address listed at the bottom of the form.
