Pork and Hops Announces 2017 Headliners
The 2017 Pork and Hops artist lineup has been announced and it is outstanding.
The award-winning country cross over band Restless Heart will be the Saturday headliner this year as Pork and Hops moves to Las Colonias Park, and the new amphitheater September 8 and 9.
Restless Heart is known for such hits as "Why Does It Have to Be Wrong or Right," "When She Cries," "Bluest Eyes of Texas," and "I'll Still Be Loving You." Two years ago the band played up at a special event at Powderhorn and they were fantastic! I can't wait to see Restless Heart again.
If that news isn't exciting enough, also appearing on Saturday night at Pork and Hops will be the Eagles' tribute band The Boys of Summer. These guys are no strangers to Grand Junction, having played here numerous times, featuring two band members who live in the Grand Valley. Also appearing on Saturday will be local favorite the Desert Flyer Band.
Friday night's headliner at Pork and Hops will be American rocker Kip Winger, of the band Winger, which rose to fame in the 80s and 90s. In 1990, Winger was nominated for an American Music Award Best New Heavy Metal Band.
The opening act for Kip Winger is yet to be announced.
Tickets for this year's Pork n Hops Event are available at Fisher's Liquor Barn and Fisher's Market in Grand Junction. You can get more information about the festival on the Pork and Hops website.
