Openings Remain For Grand Junction Corn Hole Tournament
Openings remain for a corn hole tournament in Grand Junction offering $1,000 in cash and prizes.
The third annual Pork and Hops Corn Hole Tournament is September 7 and 8 at the amphitheater at Las Colonias Park.
The competition is part of the annual BBQ festival in Grand Junction, and it's put on by Grand Junction Parks and Rec.
The number of registrations for the tournament is limited, and entries are received on a first come, first served basis, so if you think it's something you want to do, you'd do well to get your entry in right away.
The entry fee for a team is $75, which includes admission to the festival both days.
The tournament is double elimination, which means you are guaranteed to play a minimum of two games. Lose twice and you're out.
This is an adult-oriented event and it is open to ages 16 and older. Co-ed teams are welcomed and encouraged, but there is not a separate bracket for mixed teams.
Get your entry in and start practicing. Who knows, you could win yourself a little cash. It's not like we have professional corn hole athletes in the Grand Valley. Or do we?
