Western Colorado is the best place in the world to live, but there are a few things which warrant Facebook's new "Dislike" button. Here are five items about Grand Junction anxiously in need of this new feature.

We have it all in Grand Junction: Mountains, rivers, great rec facilities, incredible performing arts, and schools earing the envy of communities around the country. Check out Facebook on any given day, and you'll see all of these receiving clicks via the coveted "Like" button.

A few undesirable things have crept into the valley, though. These get the "Dislike" button. Here are the top five.

    Vandelism to Our Landscape

Defacing of Rock Structures in Our Outdoors

No matter where you go in Western Colorado, you'll see instances where people have etched their names or some message into rock faces. Littering On Our Public Lands

Careless or Deliberate Disposal of Trash

In some cases, people just throw their trash out on our public lands.  In others, it's a camping trip that came to an end, and the participants didn't feel it necessary to clean up after themselves. In either case, it earns the "Dislike" button.

Didn't this used to take about four hours?

Since when does it take seven hours to drive from Grand Junction to Denver? Didn't we used to do this in about four hours, and that was if we behaved. You could actually do it in about three and half and that was accounting for a winky stop or two.

    More Empty Buildings

There seems to be an increase in the number of vacant businesses, or to be more precise, closed businesses, around the valley. Don't you hate driving down North Avenue, only to see one vacant business after another?
