The Ragin' Cajun himself, Doug Kershaw, makes his way to the Fruita Fall Festival on Saturday, September 26 at 8:30 p.m., and your attendance is essential. As a matter of fact, it is possibly the most important thing you'll ever do. Here's why.

The last time I saw Doug Kershaw in concert his amp exploded. Seriously, the dude's amplifier literally exploded and caught fire right in the middle of a tune. Why, you ask? Because the guy is a stud, a fiddling stud.

In addition to causing amps to burst into flames, Kershaw can obliterate a fiddle bow in about 60 seconds flat. Now that's entertainment. He cuts a mean rug, too. This is showmanship, the kind we don't see enough of.

In addition to playing his show, Kershaw offers a "fiddle workshop" that Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the Rhema Music Stage.

Here's another great performance from Kershaw. Take a look at his bow. At the beginning of the video, the bow is in pretty good shape. Halfway through the tune, that bow's a goner.

You owe it to yourself to see Kershaw in concert when he comes to town. His antics will blow your mind, and his mastery of the fiddle will make your jaw drop. Don't miss Doug Kershaw when he comes to Fruita for the annual Fall Festival. You'll be talking about it for years.
