Someone new is moving in at 1st and Grand. Who could it be? Check out Grand Junction's newest business.

Do you remember last June when Grand Central Liquor at 200 W Grand Avenue closed down? The owners decided it was time to retire. Well, here it is eight months later, and someone new is moving into the unit.

Please make welcome "Quilters Inspiration." I stopped by today to see what was happening. The build-out is still underway, but they are getting close. Drive by the location and you'll see the signs are already up.

I always love seeing new locally-owned businesses opening up. At the same time, though, I'm kind of bummed. This makes two new Grand Junction stores in the last few months my mom would have loved. She would have been in heaven with the new Scottish store that opened out by the Mesa Mall. When it comes to this place, Quilters Inspiration, she probably would have moved in. My mom loved to sew and quilt. They probably would have had to call me and ask me to remove her from the premises.

This particular space has a tremendous amount of square footage. No doubt they'll have an excellent inventory.

They'll be opening for business soon. In the meantime, stay in touch with their progress and upcoming specials by following them on Facebook.
