Grand Junction High School students got a very special treat this week on the morning announcements.

A group of young ladies from the Grand Junction High School Theatre Department got on the mic one morning to promote their upcoming show Little Shop of Horrors. What a great way to start the day.

I remember those morning announcements at the start of the school day and I loved them. The more announcements that were made, the longer it took, and the less time we had to sit in that first class of the day.

The girls in this video really do a great job, which makes me think the drama presentation coming up March 5-7 at the Grand Junction High School auditorium.

The musical is based on the 1960 movie about a florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human flesh and blood. The music in the show is in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop, and Motown.

It sure sounds like a lot of scary, musical fun, and based on the sample of singing we got on the Facebook video, it should be an enjoyable high-quality production.
