First of all, I think this is an empty building. And, since I've only lived here since last May, I do not have a clue as to what type of business was housed in here.

This vacant building is located on 12th Street across from the campus of CMU. I know I've driven by it dozens of times and even walked by it a number of times, but it wasn't until yesterday that I actually noticed it.

I tried to read the sign, but had a difficult time with the sunshine and the glare. Does anyone know the history of this building? I thought it resembled a restaurant, but seems odd that a place to eat, right across, from the campus of CMU would fail.

It does make you wonder about the history of buildings. Or even your own home and the families that lived in it before you did. I grew up on a farm with horses and barns and sheds and even an outhouse. To this day I always wondered what it must have been like when that was a full fledged operating cow farm.
