A United States Postal Facility that sorts and distributes mail for both Colorado and Wyoming has been ordered closed due to the Coronavirus. The order comes after five employees at the facility have been confirmed to have contracted the virus according to The Denver Channel.

The order states that the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment visited the facility and were not granted full access to the building and were refused vital information during a visit to the USPS facility.

The Public Health Department said that before the facility could open their doors again they would need to follow these guidelines:

  • The facility must be completely disinfected with an approved COVID-19 disinfectant
  • Measures to control the spread of COVID-19 are implemented
  • Submit plans and procedures for how the distribution center will implement COVID-19 control measures to the DDPHE in writing.

After those steps are completed the reopening will be granted by a DDPHE employee.
